Everyday Should Be Coffee Day!

Happy National Coffee Day!!

Of course, in my book, EVERDAY is Coffee Day.
Wouldn't a coffee station like this make your morning a little brighter.
I just love the way that Yvonne at
Stonegable Blog makes the Everyday into a Special Day. Don't you?
So pour a cup of coffee and head-on over to Stonegable for a visit, and
get some great ideas for Celebrating Everything.

Planned to a T is Published again!!

Real Weddings Magazine, a regional publication for the Sacramento through the Sierras, chose "our" wedding for their Real Weddings section.

A spread of the photos are in their magazine, but more are on their web-site.
To see more of this beautiful wedding...Click here for more photos

Last year I had the honor of helping to plan and coordinate this beautiful wedding at Heavenly Valley in Lake Tahoe. How could everything not be amazing with a couple that is so Giddy in Love and you have Lake Tahoe in the background?!  Click here for more photos

There are so many personal touches. From the pine cones decorating the aisle, a chair saved for a special loved one who is missed, but remembered, the snowboarders toppiing the cake.  Every detail was thought out to reflect who they are and their passion.  These are the type of weddings I create.
It's YOUR wedding! Make it personal.

Celebrate Life!!

This past week I had the good fortune
to celebrate my Father's 90th Birthday.

Now, my father is not in great health. Dementia has taken away his mind and memories. Years of working construction have left his knees unable to carry his weight. He is still living in the home he built for our family 50+ years ago, but only with live-in help. He didn't really understand that we were there to celebrate HIM. But to see his eyes light up when the candles were lit and being asked to blow out his candles, was priceless.

We kept the afternoon simple. Just immediate family and a few neighbors that he sees regularly. Just enough to make the day different than the rest. One neighbor even entertained us with a harmonica concert!  Simple dinner of food he likes, and is able to eat, lasagna and salad, Sparkling cider for a toast, and, of course, chocolate cake.

It's those moments that we make someone feel special that make a difference in our lives. Find ways to celebrate your loved ones. A new job, a great grade, first day of school, friends moving back into town, new neighbors, maybe just to show that you care, etc. Just knowing that someone noticed you! Don't stress over it, just do it! Invite a few people. Make it a potluck. Use disposable tableware, pitchers of lemonade or iced tea. Spend time together.

20 Days Until New Years 2014!! Cheers!

What? Are you getting stressed? Does this make your brain want to spin? Are you shrieking “OMG! Wait, this was the year I was going to celebrate the season with my friends and neighbors! I've decorated my house, I would really love to host an evening of holiday cheer and feeling the real reason for the season with the special people in my life. Or maybe a New Year’s Eve Party, or New Year’s Day Open House.  But where do I begin this late?”

NOW…take a deep breath…Planned to a T Events is here to help you!  I have teamed with some of my fabulous vendors to offer a package including everything you need to host the perfect cocktail party or open house! Our packages offer custom invitations, catered (Yummy) appetizers, sweets, décor, coordinated paper and plastic goods, a detailed beverage shopping list (sorry, the ABC frowns upon people supplying alcohol without a license) and more. Just as important as he dress, the venue, the colors and the food and all the other things that go into making your special day a memorable one, the SONG you choose is just as important!! It's so personal and the perfect way to express your feelings about the day. I think I have found the perfect one for me.  Its both artistic and absolutely beautiful. I had a hard time trying not to cry while typing and listening at the same time. Listen...and enjoy!

This poor Event Planner was FORCED to spend the 4th of July at Lake Tahoe this year. What could I do? They NEEDED my help! So I packed up the "Fam" and headed up Hwy 395 for my latest destination wedding ;-)

It was the perfect setting for this couple. Zach grew up spending lots of weekends at "the lake". He and Leah met snowboarding (love the adorable cake topper). When they got the opportunity to move to the area, courtesy of the US Navy, the choice of venue was clear.

They wanted a simple, rustic, wildflower feel. I think they nailed it. What do you think?

Thank you to Amy Nicole Photography for these beautiful photos of Zach & Leah's special day.
